New Castle woman wins $40,000 playing HOT & SIZZLING
Dover, DE — Michelle Thompson, a 59-year-old woman from New Castle, has claimed the first $40,000 top prize for the Instant Game HOT & SIZZLING. Ms. Thompson purchased the winning ticket from Pockets Discount Liquors on South DuPont Highway in New Castle.
Ms. Thompson said she has been playing the Delaware Lottery sporadically throughout the years. She plays Instant Games for fun and when she plays, she usually purchases 4-5 tickets at a time. “I was so shocked,” said Ms. Thompson. “This is the biggest prize I’ve ever won. I called my daughter right away to share the news.”
