$1,000,000 POWERBALL® ticket purchased in Rehoboth Beach
Dover, DE — A 45-year-old man from Rehoboth Beach has claimed a $1,000,000 prize from the POWERBALL® drawing on April 6, 2024. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket at Wawa #871 on Veterans Way in Rehoboth Beach.
Utilizing the Quick Pick option to select his numbers, the winner successfully matched five numbers, leading to his remarkable win. Expressing disbelief upon discovering his victory, he chose to share the exciting news with his mother first.
“I couldn’t believe I won. I thought a friend was playing a joke on me!” said the winner. “I plan to put some of the winnings towards paying off my house, buying my mom a car, and taking small family vacation.”
